Job Description
Fire Engineers / EMTs perform critical fire suppression, rescue, and incident response activities during 24-hour shifts. Responsibilities include firefighting, emergency medical response, facility and equipment maintenance, and ongoing incident response and fire suppression training.
Employees must stay current on fire suppression and rescue procedures, techniques, and equipment, incorporating updates into in-service training. Quick decision-making under pressure is essential in all emergency response situations.
This role involves exposure to hazardous conditions, extreme temperatures, and high-noise environments.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Requirements
- Three (3) years of fire service experience
- Firefighter Level I & II Certification
- Hazardous Materials Operations Level Certification
- Emergency Vehicle Driver Certification
- Driver Operator Pumps Certification
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification
- NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800 Certifications
- Current Hepatitis B Vaccination
- Valid Class “B” Driver’s License
